Cu Lao Waterfall - a place to challenge yourself

Cu Lao Thac is about 300 m high, located deep in the forest, a place for tourists to explore nature and challenge themselves. 

Located in Vinh Hao commune, Vinh Thanh district, about 90 km from Quy Nhon city, there is a majestic waterfall. This is a natural waterfall, without a name. Local people often call it Cu Lao Thac. 

Tourists are guided to follow route DT637, a road along Dinh Binh Lake. The waterfall is about 12 km from Dinh Binh hydroelectric plant. Near the road facing the foot of the waterfall, on the left is a path leading into a small village. 

The people in the village guided him to follow the path into the forest, follow the stream to reach the foot of the waterfall. The distance from the village to the waterfall is about 4 km, traveling along the trail takes about two hours including rest time. The surrounding landscape is wild with forests, hills, mountains and people's corn fields. 

At the foot of the waterfall, the trekking trip really begins. Going through the acacia forest planted by local people (photo), the road is still easy to follow. The terrain becomes gradually steeper as it climbs higher. There are sections where the path cannot be seen, so the path must be cleared and opened. The advantage is going near the stream so the air is cool. The most common dangers when going to the forest are being bitten by animals or insects or tripping, falling, and bumping into trees or rocks. 

Especially in the rainy season, from around September to December, the road is slippery, there is high water, and there are many potential dangers. The most ideal time for trekking and camping at the waterfall is in the summer, from around May to July, when the weather is dry. Tourists should go with experienced natives to promptly handle problems when incidents occur. If you get lost in this forest, just follow the stream and you will return to the village.
