General Vo Nguyen Giap's cave is exploited for tourism

In early 2019, Dai Tuong cave in Ngan Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh) was put into tourism exploitation. Local people often call this cave General's cave or Ong Giap's cave, because in the years 1971 - 1973, General Vo Nguyen Giap used this cave to live and command campaigns on the northern front. Male. 

This cave has a system of stalactites that look like gold plated because the stalactites contain a lot of silicon. In the cave, there are many other stalactite systems such as custard apple, tube stalactite, stalactite... and small lakes inhabited by many animals such as crabs, spiders...  

The cave has a 3-storey structure, about 30 - 100m wide and an average height of 60m with a diverse and unique geological structure in the cave. 

In the cave, there is a stalagmite shaped like a human head, making many people think of the image of General Vo Nguyen Giap. There is also a small stage in the cave for soldiers and civil servants of the past to perform in the cave. This is a vestige related to the resistance war against the US in the cave. One of the other special highlights of the cave is the stalactites and geology that accidentally create a heart-shaped space. This place is called "tunnel of love" by people.

In particular, in the area surrounding the cave, there are many other caves associated with the resistance history of Quang Binh province such as civil war cave, weapons cave, military medicine cave... This is a cave system used by soldiers. and the people of Ngan Thuy commune used it during the resistance war against the US.

General Cave is about 40 km southwest of Dong Hoi center. Coming to General Cave, visitors will not only admire the majestic nature, meet friendly people, but also learn about the heroic history of this land. The cave is designed for a one-day or two-day-one-night tour.
