Tourists who want to explore this cave system must ask an experienced local to guide them, otherwise they will easily get lost because the cave system here is large and the roads are difficult to navigate.
Currently, the volcanic cave system in Dak Nong is still quite intact, with only research groups and few people visiting it. Dak Nong province has also submitted documents to submit to UNESCO to recognize this as a global geopark. Leaders of Dak Nong province affirmed the construction of a global geopark to preserve geological heritage, cultural heritage, and natural landscape. The authorities also hope to build a community tourism model where people are the subjects that preserve values.
In September 2018, scientists announced traces of prehistoric people found in the volcanic cave system of Dak Nong. Before that, only the volcanic cave system in Korea in the world had traces of human habitation detected.
