Ba Tap Waterfall - 100m high waterfall in the middle of Truong Son forest

Below the waterfall there is a small lake, the water is cool because it flows between the forest and mountain rocks. 

The waterfall has not been exploited for tourism so it is still wild. Occasionally, only groups of rangers, forest guards, backpackers, researchers, or some local people come. This is one waterfall in the system. This waterfall has a lower altitude, but the lake is wider. 

According to local people, this lake is 5 to 7 meters deep and has many palm-sized fish. Cool fish is a local specialty, only living in clean water. At the end of 2020, floods caused the stream leading to Ba Voi waterfall to collapse, carrying giant rocks with it. In this landslide area, trees died. After three years, this area still lacks greenery. From the last point where you can ride a motorbike in Da Ngoi village (Huong Hiep commune), it takes visitors about 2 hours to walk along the stream to reach Ba Voi waterfall. 

The road to the waterfall is hidden in the middle of a primeval forest, with many large trees up to one meter in diameter. Many sections are steep and steep, making it easy to slip and fall. The distance from waterfall one to waterfall three is about 30 minutes on foot. Currently, Quang Tri province has set up a project to build a concrete road for pedestrians to develop tourism at Ba Voi waterfall. This area is about an hour by motorbike from Dong Ha City.
